Submissions Due: September 22, 2019
After last year’s successful launch and highly positive feedback from the invitees of the “Rising Stars in Computer Architecture (RISC-A)” Workshop, Georgia Tech is pleased to announce RISC-A’s second iteration. RISC-A is intended for final-year Ph.D. candidates and fresh Ph.D.’s who are planning to apply for academic positions for next year (2020) in the area of computer architecture.
RISC-A will be a day-long workshop with a single track of talks. Each speaker will be given 45 minutes to present their research and receive feedback from ECE and CS faculty. The workshop will also include sessions detailing the academic job application process and end with a dinner for all speakers with Georgia Tech faculty and PhD students.
Given time limits, accommodation of all nominees will not be possible. As a result, the nominees will go through a selection process.
Georgia Tech will provide travel assistance to all selected speakers.
How to Apply: Applicants should
- email their CV and a 1-page research statement to risca.gt.2019@gmail.com.
- ask their PhD/post-doc advisor to send a short letter of recommendation separately to risca.gt.2019@gmail.com.
